The "Association"....Sure can put on a Show!

Say what you want about the NBA All-star game.   The naysayers are always yakking about no defense....up and down the court...undisciplined basketball...too much one-on-one...ghetto ball.

Well, well....

It seems this type of basketball is very entertaining to the masses.

The "Association"....rocked last night.   Yes...at times it may have seemed like a rap concert...on a basketball court...but the end result was a magnificent show of skills by the best athletes on the planet.

Atlanta.....This Could Have Been Us

It should have been us....Excuse us if we're are still somewhat bitter.   But...

The ATL  should have represented the NFC in the Super Bowl just played.   We came up 10 yards short.

There is no doubt in my mind...our Atlanta Falcons...would have prevailed over the Baltimore Ravens.

They matched up better than the 49ners.   More weapons...more speed.

But......as we say here often...it is ...what it is.

We congratulate you,  Baltimore.

Enjoy your moment:

Even the Super Dome got involved with a tribute to Black History Month....a 30 minute black-out.

There were commercials....some good...some bad...some funny.

In the end...it was a very entertaining event.

A little late...but let us pay our respects.

Thoughts...on a Super Sunday

We're back!   With apologies to our faithful readers...we...or should I say "I"....have been a little busy during that past couple of weeks.

Still ...no excuses.....So let me share a few thoughts on the day of the 47th Super Bowl.

Five things ...I think ...I think:

#1.   I am still bitter...not over it yet...The Atlanta Falcons should be playing in this game tonight.

#2.   Everybody should back off on Beyonce!  What's the big deal if she lip-sincs the National Anthem?

#3.   My grand daughter is so cute...at 10 months.

#4.   I have "unfriended" people on FaceBook ...because of their hatred for President Obama.

#5.   Are you as tired of the pre-game hype...as I am?

Are we getting old...or what?   I have seen every Super Bowl ever played.  I can even remember the very first one.   In Tulane Stadium.....Green Bay versus Kansas City.   It was televised by both CBS and NBC.  The stadium was half full.   Grambling State's marching band was the half time entertainment.

Wow....and now  today!    Just the biggest event...on the planet!

Sit back.....eat your shrimp and chicken wings....watch the commercials.....and enjoy!
